Record of adoptions handled by the local office. Typical files
include birth certificates, placement agreements, face sheet
describing the child to be adopted and the adoptive home, face
sheets describing the prospective parents, correspondence,
summary of the case, reviews of placement visits, medical
reports, mental and physical evaluations, and final adoption
decree. Arranged by case number. Adoption files are restricted
records, accessible only by court order. Series not fully
processed.
