Series Description
Extracts of St. Mary's County land records showing parties involved, property descriptions, purchase amount, and date recorded. Abstracts were kept as insurance against the loss or destruction of the county land records. Earlier abstracts found in the GENERAL COURT OF THE WESTERN SHORE Land Record Abstracts, SM series [MSA S1331] and the COURT OF APPEALS Land Record Abstracts, SM series [MSA S1361]. Indexed by the Land Record Abstracts, SM, Index [MSA S1305]. Arranged chronologically. After the county began microfilming its records, abstracts were no longer kept.
