Series Description
Survey, easement, and subdivision plats recorded in land record books. The Land Office filmed the plats, dated through 1932, in 1948, now found in series CM370 and CM1408. The original volumes of (Land Records) are included in series C670 and T2346 and on film in series CM394 and CM393. The 1697 plat of the courthouse lot in Port Tobacco was moved to Special Collections SC1497. Access available in electronic form, derived from (Plats on Microfilm, CH) in series S1536. After 1932 most plats were no longer recorded in land records (Ch. 412, Acts of 1933). Most later records are found in (Plat Book) in series C2267 and (Subdivision Plats, CH) in series S1242.
