Series Description
The county copies of subdivision and condominium plats, filed with the circuit court since 1945 and 1965 respectively, and survey and subdivision plats filed between 1890 and 1945. The series also contains survey plats after 1945 and some scattered road plats. The documents are arranged as hanging files in cabinets, and referenced with plat book citations and page numbers. The plats in this series will be used to supplement (Subdivision Plats, WO) in series S1257 as needed to fill in gaps or provide more complete or clearer copies. The records dated 1890-1945 will be filmed and scanned only within this series, C2157. Some oversized plats are found in (Plat Book, Oversize) in series C2210. Additional and earlier records can be found in (Plats from Land Records) in series C2207 and C2208. Some records for 1890-1981 are also available on film in series CM804. Access available in electronic form derived from (Plats, Index) in series C2204.
