Survey, easement, and subdivision plats recorded in land record books. Other documents include municipal boundaries, county land use plans, and soil conservation district maps. The Land Office filmed many of the plats in 1948, now found in series CM1474 and CM1475. The original volumes of (Land Records) are found in series C1426 and C1427 and on film in series CM1163 and CM833. Many plats dating from 1913, that were too large for the land record books, were placed in drawers where they were arranged by document number. These numbers are part of a document numbering system begun in September 1908 to consecutively number all papers filed for recording with the circuit court. The plats were also given land record book and page references. On those pages will usually appear cross references to the document numbers. In some instances a copy of the plat will appear on the page.
