Original documents filed in ejectment proceedings to establish claims to land. The files contain narrations, declarations, statements of fact, bills of exception, exhibits, depositions, and surveys and plats. Some include docket entries for cases transferred from the General Court of the Western Shore when it was abolished in 1805. The records are arranged chronologically by the latest date in the file. Some of the documents are torn and will require conservation work. The Archives will create an electronic finding aid from the records themselves.
